Unfailing Love

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement: In this world we are like Jesus. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 John 4:16-18

I am single and it is Valentines Day. Should I grab a box of chocolates and wallow on the couch watching some psychotic romantic movie?! Nope! Singleness is okay especially on Valentines Day. Being single is good and it is only a stepping stone in your life. God wants you to want and NEED Him. Use this time of your life to become closer to God and when the time is perfect to God, a man will be in the picture.

Walking down memory lane:
I can remember when I was in school and it was February, and the first thing you see when you walk through the doors of the school was the banner that said “Carnations on sale now“. Oh joy. Every girl in the school seemed to be out of their minds trying to guess who would buy them a carnation this year, or how many carnations they would receive. I on the other hand, was not excited about this time of year. Because I knew I would not be receiving a carnation from a ‘secret admirer’. Yes I was that girl! I never received a carnation. I didn’t realize how pitiful it was to wallow around about not getting a carnation. Or wondering if I would be alone this Valentines Day. I was a teenager and when you are fifteen you think the world revolves around you.

I never opened my eyes to see and feel all the ways God showed His love for me. Our Heavenly Father shows us His love every single day! Even through the hardships, God sends us small reminders (not particularly flowers or carnations) of how much we are loved and that we are never alone.

Amazing love beyond measures!

You are loved beyond all measure.

Ephesians 3:19

You are beautiful.

He calls me beautiful one.

Song Of Solomon 2:1-17

Take heart of what God thinks of you! You are beautiful, and wonderfully made. The creator of heaven, earth, and all of its treasures thinks that YOU are amazing and beautiful!

Unique.

He counts the stars and calls them all by name.

Psalm 147:4

God doesn’t want us all to be exactly the same. Admit it, if we were all alike life would be repetitive. God made you exactly the way He wanted you to be! Unique to stand out in a crowd for His glory.

Wanted.

He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge.

Psalm 91:4

God wants your all! There is never a day that goes by when you are unwanted. The nights you feel alone and discouraged by what this world debates on what is acceptable and beautiful; well truth is you are wanted fully and completely! God wants you to want Him and need Him. God wants your heart, give it to Him.

Loved.

You are loved more than you will ever know by someone who died to know you.

Romans 5:6

Embrace this day, because you are loved. Beyond anything you can contour. Your heart has never felt such love as the love God has for YOU! His love is never failing.

Chosen.

You have been set apart and chosen for His purpose.

Deuteronomy 14:2

We are chosen for our own destiny created by God. He says you are destined for great things! God has a divine purpose for your life. Let Him lead you the way!

You are His.

But now, O Lord, You are our Father; weare the clay, and You our potter: And all we are the work of Your hand.

Isaiah 64:8

Love comes from God. He is the reason the word even exists! He is the reason you exist! When you come to realize that you are Gods child, you will feel and see that your Heavenly Father loves you as you are. Past, present, and future His love for you will never fade away. No matter what!

The grass withers and flowers fade, but the word of the Lord stands forever.

Isaiah 40:8
